Welcome to NLPIR 2025
We are thrilled to convene leading minds in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Information Retrieval (IR) at this pivotal moment in our fields. The rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence—particularly Large Language Models (LLMs)—has redefined the boundaries of what's possible, enabling unprecedented capabilities in language understanding, knowledge synthesis, and human-computer interaction. This conference showcases groundbreaking work leveraging these transformative technologies, from next-generation conversational agents to semantically rich search paradigms and beyond.
Yet even as we celebrate these advances, we recognize that LLMs are not the final destination. Critical challenges persist in efficiency, transparency, cross-lingual adaptability, and domain-specific applications. Diverse research remains essential: from neuro-symbolic integration and low-resource IR to ethical frameworks, interpretable architectures, and human-centered design. The future of NLP/IR lies not only in scaling models but in innovating beyond them bridging foundational theory with real-world impact.
At the situation, 2025 9th International Conference on Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval (NLPIR 2025) will bring together researchers, which devoted their work to progress in the above described timely tasks. It will be held in Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan during December 14-16, 2025.
Together, let’s explore both the frontiers of AI-driven innovation and the enduring questions demanding multidisciplinary solutions. Your contributions, whether in LLM advancements, classical methods, or emerging paradigms—will fuel the next chapter of progress.
Let the collaborations begin!
Important Dates
Conference Topics
The topics of interests for submission include, but are not limited to:
Publication
All peer-reviewed papers accepted by NLPIR 2025 will be published as a volume of the Springer book series: Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems. Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published.
Indexed by Ei Compendex, Scopus, INSPEC, etc. All books published in the series are submitted for consideration in Web of Science.
Submission Information
Submitted papers will be checked plagiarism, including self-plagiarism firstly by Cross-Check and then submitted to the TPC for further review.
Requirements Official language is English in paper writing and presenting.
Manuscripts should be at least 8 pages (Single column). Additional page (if the paper exceeds 10 pages) is possible but will be charged for 50 USD per page.
Prospective authors are invited to submit full (and original research) papers. Paper submissions are reviewed by experts selected by the conference committees for their demonstrated knowledge of particular topics. Authors will be notified of the review results by email. Please prepare your paper according to the following template.
